The Jamestown Health Advisory Council has been very fortunate to receive a substantial distribution from the estate of the late Keith Honan. Keith wanted to donate to the hospital as he held it in high regard after the care that was given to his family members over the years. We are extremely grateful for this donation, as it will allow us to make significant changes to the Jamestown Hospital building and facilities. We have been working with his family to find a suitable project within the Jamestown Health Service that will have long lasting benefits for the whole community. Hopefully we can share details of the project with you all soon.
Over the last 12 months we have supported the installation of electric doors in Symonds Wing and the Palliative Care entrance of the Jamestown Health Service. With the help of the Jamestown Hospital Auxiliary, we are also in the process of installing blinds and new railing on the exterior of Symonds Wing.
If you have any comments or concerns regarding our local health service please feel free to have a chat with us.
