A Swimming Success

The 2021 – 2022 Upper North Interclub Swimming season ended on Friday March 11th with Jamestown (Emperors) Amateur Swimming Club taking all 4 shields – Teams, Scratch, Handicap and Overall Shield. The Upper North Competition has been running since 1965 and this is the first time that the club has won all 4 shields since it’s inception.

An amazing group of over 60 swimmers took part in this year’s season with more than half the club competing each Friday night. Thank you to an amazing group of coaches, swimmers, parents, committee and our fantastic team selector Tash Hall. We’d like to say a big thank you to Brenton Hombsch and the rest of the Upper North Delegate committee, as well as all the competitors and families who made our Friday nights so much fun, even in the face of COVID. Next season begins Nov 2022.
