A REMARKABLE 108TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

A special gathering of family and staff gathered recently in the Symonds Wing of the Jamestown Hospital to celebrate with Mrs. Lorraine (Lol) Stacey on her 108th birthday. She looked beautiful, pearls adding to her remarkable appearance. Lol thoroughly enjoyed a slice of Pavlova with lashings of cream, which was her birthday cake. A delicious Afternoon Tea was prepared for her and guests from the Hospital kitchen.

Lol has lived in the district all her long life. Firstly at Mannanarie as Miss Robinson and upon marriage to Murray Stacey moved to Hornsdale where she was very involved in the family farm. Many years later they retired to Jamestown but regularly drove out to their property , which is still being farmed by family.

Lol is dearly loved by family and friends, including the wonderful Hospital Staff, who have cared for her since turning 101! Story by Jenny Hall
