The Christmas in Winter Lunch was an enjoyable gathering. Thank you to everyone who attended. The room was warm and beautifully decorated, the food delicious and plentiful. Some people were attending their twentieth lunch. Several people who were there for the first time commented on how welcome they felt.
We would like to have sold more tickets. People generously bought the extra meat and pudding. Thank you to everyone who contributed, including cooking, setting up, serving food, packing up and washing the many dishes.
The Anglican, Catholic, Lutheran and Uniting Church congregations provide the food and work together to support this important fundraiser for the Pastoral Care Worker at the Jamestown Community School. It is lovely to hear from the P.C.W., Catrina Duncan, about her involvement at the school.
Joyce Jacka designs the attractive poster and ticket. She also writes a number on each ticket so that we can hold a lucky ticket draw. We appreciate her generosity.
We are grateful that the Living Words Bookshop volunteers and Sarena and Clive Palmer at Clive Palmer Photography and Framing continue to sell the tickets.
If you have any suggestions about the lunch please contact a local church.
