ENVIRONMENT GRANT FOR BUNDALEER
During the past few months, a significant area of the Bundaleer Creek south of the event centre has been remediated as part of an Australian Government Communities Environment Program grant
Invasive feral olive, ash and Aleppo pines have been removed and replaced with a range of native trees, shrubs and grasses.
Steps down the creek bank south of the playground have also been installed as part of this project to stem creek erosion.
A big thank you to BFCAA board member Holly Crawford for managing the entire project and utilizing her initiative, drive and background in environmental science to create an incredible on-ground transformation at Bundaleer.
Much appreciation also to Anne Brown, Tim Flannery, Neil George and the host of volunteers who helped with cutting, swabbing, clearing, planting, guarding, whilst adhering to Covid-19 social distancing regulations.
