Jamestown Air Spectacular Sunday Oct 8th

The Jamestown Air Spectacular on Sunday Oct 8th will amaze you no matter what aircraft you are interested in.

The Air show will feature a RAAF P-8A doing a handling display. The Vought F4U-5NL Corsair will be our feature warbird along with the favourite Gruman Avenger, and Jim Whalley’s CA12 Boomerang, which saw active service with the RAAF and a few surprises. The Silver Sharks, Chris Sperou, and Paul Bennet with his Wolf Pitts Pro and Edge 540 for aerobatics. You will also see a Beech D18, glider, model planes, Amphibious RC-3 Super Seabee, Gazelle Helicopter , Boeing Stearman, SAPOL PC-12 and sky divers throughout the day. For a first time at the Air Spectacular we will have a line up of planes that the crowd can be up and personal with. They include: SAPOL PC- 12, variety of general aviation and recreational aircraft. And don’t forget the children: we have face painting, train ride and bubbles. There will be plenty of food stalls and static displays to keep you interested. Try out our simulator that will be running in the hanger by the Mid North Christian College Aviation students as well as a short video of the life of Sir Hubert Wilkins. And don’t forget to buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win helicopter flights, Barry Spicer print of warbirds, autographed photographs of the Silver Sharks and much more.
