Thanks to all the wonderful humans who went online and voted on the Agricultural Town of the Year website for Jamestown. We have been short listed in the top 10 towns and are now in the running to be named SA’s Agricultural Town of the Year.
We are a diverse farming town with a great 2 day Show that saw record crowds in 2022, the Junior Ag Education day hosted yearly by the show committee for all schools in SA, the host for the National Shearing Championships in October this year. Home to the Jamestown Air Spectacular, the Jamestown Sheep Markets, a wide range of sports, friendly locals, strong businesses and an amazing community spirit when it comes to volunteering. Our locals get in and get things done, Jamestown packs a real punch in the region, let’s hope that SA get’s to celebrate and learn more about our amazing town.
