The committee were overwhelmed by the response to our Silent Auction. Over 70 items were donated by local businesses and individuals from within our community, placed online via facebook and bidded on by an amazingly supportive group of online bidders to raise approx $10,400 in much needed funds.
As you can appreciate, running a show can be a costly exercise, even after cancelling there are still ongoing costs to consider and pay for.
Our committee sent out offers for membership payments to be made for the 2020 show even though it has been cancelled. We have had over 80% of these memberships thus paid for. This is an outstanding contribution from the community to support the show no matter the consequences caused by COVID-19.
The Jamestown Show committee would like to thank the community and businesses that help support our wonderful event. You can rest assure that 2021 is going to be the biggest, the best and the most memorable show we’ve ever had.
