Team Friday Fillies, Leanne and Margie, are back on the road again in the March 2022 Shitbox Rally (Covid delayed Spring 2021 Rally).
Because of the time of the year the route has been changed. Instead of travelling from Mackay to Darwin the journey is now from Hay NSW to Adelaide via Silverton, Cameron Corner, Arkaroola, William Creek, Kingoonya and Kimba SA.
At the time of writing we have raised a magnificent sum of $17,000 for which we would like to sincerely thank our community and those beyond who have supported us to support the cause to ‘kick Cancer’s butt’ with all monies raised by the Box Rallies going towards Cancer Research. There are too many to list and we are sure to forget someone. All donations big and small are very important to us.
We are excited to having another local team ‘Golden Scissors’, Tanya Kerslake and Annette Lane, now joining us on our adventure. Although we may not get to see much of each other amongst the other 248 teams we are sure to have many stories to tell when we meet up at the finish line after 7 days on mostly dusty roads.
Once again thank you to everyone who has helped us in any way. We are sure to have a lot of fun and meet interesting and colourful characters while travelling 3000kms from March 26th to April 1st.
